Instead of using pressure use a vacuum to check the system
first. Once the system is under a vacuum it needs to hold
and not bleed off.

Sean

NOTE : With a vacuum there is not the risk of pushing coolant into places

Just my two cents here but he may be suffering from 2 issues. On the passenger side front of the intake manifold there is a donut gasket that seals the intake to the timing cover/waterpump housing. I had this gasket leak and it went straight down the passenger side head under the egr cooler. Although unlikely but if this truck ever got hot due to the coolant leak the new cooler may have suffered a small crack. All in all I agree the first thing I would do is do a pressure check of the coolant system.
