Radiator hose

I need to replace my Radiator in my 2001 Expedition. Can I remoce the lower radiator hose quick connect without specials tool?

Not that I know of. It's a real pain to remove. I used a aviation snips to cut off. Replaced hose and used a traditional hose clamp to repair.

There is a small metal tab that has to be bent out before you can rotate the connector and remove it. Once the tab is bent out, rotate the connector 45 degrees and pull HARD. It is a lot easier to remove if you remove the driver side wheel well skirt and attack the hose from there.
