Bad injector, but which one?

Can anyone tell me how to determine which injector is bad? Seems like its running on seven, happened suddenly in my driveway, but i don't know how to determine which injector. My best diagnostic tool is a Mac ET99 which doesn't seem to support diesels, and there are no OBD codes. Ideas? Its a 2003 7.3.
Thanks

Where are you? You may be close to one of us that has AutoEnginuity and we could scan your truck.

there is a guy from lake tahoe area I think he just got AE as well hes on here often but if you take valve covers off engine running pop plug off injectors one at a time whatever on doesn't make engine run worse is the one or ones not contributing.

There are those that have run on 7 cylinders, but I won't personally endorse it as a good practice. I had one that was a dud and when the engine warmed up, I felt a "kick" and discovered the injector wasn't completely dead... it was just weak. I suspect the kick was the cylinder igniting at the wrong time with enough fuel in there under just-right conditions... but my head was not in the cylinder to see what really happened.

Like jps47 said, you can pull one connector at a time, or get a laser thermometer (at least a 600 degree F limit, they're pretty inexpensive nowadays), aim it at each cylinder outlet on the exhaust manifold, and find the one cylinder that's colder than its equal on the other side.

There are about 3 copies of AE in the Reno/Tahoe area that I know about, and two of them should be back from the holiday weekend by now.
