I flushed out my coolant yesterday and when I completed the job I now have a drip. It looks like it's coming from a plug located between the inlet and outlet hoses on my water pump. Any idea what this plug is for.
If it's coming out of the small hole on the bottom of the pump housing, under the shaft, the shaft seals are shot. Time to replace the pump. I wouldn't wait very long to do it either. If that isn't where it's coming from, post a picture of the leak.
Let's not jump to conclusions. He said a plug between the inlet and outlet hoses. Try sealing that plug. If the pump is bad it will leak from behind the pulley.
