2004 explorer rear wheel studs

2004 explorer rear wheel studs
How do you remove the rear pass side wheel studs? I have knocked them loose but there isn't enough clearance to remove them.I have removed the parking brake shoes already.Does the hub have to be pulled to do this?

Per the factory service manual:
The brake shield has an access hole cover that must be removed to allow for the removal of the wheel stud. The cover must be replaced with a plug to prevent contamination to the parking brake shoe assemblies.
