Hey guys, got two codes 628 and 337. Would 337(throttle position sensor voltage reading higher than normal) cause the 628? Some times when going from 2nd to 3rd it feels a little draggy. Any ideas? Hope its not tranny. Thanks
Gonna wanna look into that one, might be iffy connection might be a problem in the TCC solenoid in the pack (pack is replaced as a unit), might be the TC clutch is toast it can't lock up prevent slippage.
Not suggesting you go right out and buy a pack there is a chance its not the problem, you must do some testing first then replace it when and if testing shows its the pack.
Test the circuit, check the connections at both PCM to harness as well as harness to solenoid pack, make sure SP's bulkhead connector isn't contaminated with trans fluid etc.
337 EGR sensor circuit above maximum voltage.
Note the last entry under "Possible cause".
You should at min pull the PCM out, remove its cover and look it over real good checking for any signs of leaking caps and or burnt areas.
Code 337: EVP circuit above the maximum limit of 4.81 volts.
Code 337 has nothing to do with the TPS or converter clutch operation.
Code 628: Converter clutch Lock-Up error (E4OD) is from Continuous Memory (historical).
My manual states to clear the codes then drive the truck again to see if it returns or if other codes appear. Also check the transmission fluid condition and/or level. This code indicates the PCM is sensing the converter clutch is slipping when it is supposed to be engaged.
Havent tested circuits yet but fluid level fine and doesnt smell burnt and looks fine(nice red color) i cleared codes and test drove and only 628 came back
