There are many systems out there that will work.
I have the Viper 5906 that I installed myself. I increased my wait to start timer on the Viper controller (brain) for an extend period to give the glow plugs more time to heat. Mine will also crank the engine until it sees the voltage increase and then it knows the truck is running before it disengages the starter. There are many features on the alarm/remote starter that I don't use but probably should.
