I decided to switch over to an electric pump after my lift pump started leaking after less than a year of me installing it. this would be the third one in two years!
I got the Driven diesel e-fuel pump controller because I liked the idea of the pump starting before cranking the engine. Exept I cant figure out how to wire it into the relay with an oil pressure switch. I can get the pump to run with the relay and switch but I can't figure out how to wire in the controller into the circuit. Be advised, electronics aren't my strong area, I managed to get all the info and circuit diagrams from other threads here but there aren't any that have the pump controller from Driven diesel and the instructions at their website are to use their fuel pump wiring harness.
Anybody used it?
Thanks
I'm running that harness. On mine, there was a big red and big black for pos/ground hookup, smaller red and black for the pump, two wires to run to the oil pressure sender that gets mounted in the oil filter head, and one blue wire for a key on power source. That was all there was to it. I didn't know how to do it either, I had to email them. I'm not very good with wiring/electrical either.
yeah that harness is nice. I really wanted to get it, but I was sticking to my budget. I only got the controller and the oil pressure sender. I don't know how they interact with each other since the harness makes all that happen under the wrapping. I'll email them and search more into it in the morning.
