Trying to get my chassis and cab to the sand blaster next week. Can't figure out how to remove the wiper switch! Must be simple but my neck still hurts from all the contortion involved figuring out the headlight switch!)
Anyway... what am I missing on getting that switch out? (64 F100)
I may be corrected, but on mine I just removed, the **** came off and a bezel nut had to be removed.
By the way, I'm not sure of the trick to remove the ****. Mine was broken and will have to be replaced. I pulled hard, but that may destroy the old ****.
Aghh! I don't remember even looking at the front. I had pulled the other ***** from the dash with nuts on the BACK! Guess I was too busy with my head BEHIND the dash. Thanks Scott, I'll check it out!
**** slides onto the shaft and held in place by a spring clip; there's a small opening at the underside of the **** where a 'spring clip' is incorporated into the ****. By inserting a mini screwdriver into this slot should be able to release the 'spring clip' tension and the **** slide off. May need to move the screwdriver 'ever so gently' forward for the spring clip to release. Suggest once taken off take a close look and this post may make sense???
Thanks for the question and answers. The wiper **** has been kicking my butt too. I did not look for the clip, just tried pulling the **** off. Will try this, as the nut the holds the assembly to the dash is missing on mine, so the assembly slides through the dash.
