Mike, Assuming from your post that you want to remove the switch from the dash, here is the drill. the **** is held onto the shaft by a spring clip that digs into the shaft as it is pushed onto the shaft. To remove it you need to insert a small tool like a O-ring tool or a dull heavy duty needle. this is inserted from the back of the **** along the flat side of the shaft. this will release the spring clip and allow you to pull the **** off. To orient yourself, use a mirror and a flashlight to see what I am talking about. Be gentle but firm. When the **** is off , then unscrew the escutchion from the swith. You will see two slots on opposite sides of the escutchion. You can make a tool to turn this or if you're lucky, it will be easy to get off with a regular screwdriver. Careful not to gouge it or slip off and scratch your dash paint. You can do it! Steve
