56 tailgate on a 52?

56 tailgate on a 52?
A tailgate has just popped up for sale.....about a mile from home....so I will grab it. It's supposed to be a 56 tailgate - will it fit better on my 52 or my garage wall?
To put this in perspective, do you think there are any Aussie ute parts a mile from your house, and for sale?????

It will fit, but the latch setup is slightly different. Might not stay closed without some minor rework. 
Certainly would look great on the wall. 
Actually, I do know a guy within a mile from my house with a '35 Ute he brought over from your neck of the woods. I'm sure he has extra parts, and anything is for sale for the right price.
