elec. prob 6.0

batts both good, lights come on even auto light and hood light key in ignition, bell dings glow plugs warm tank stirs, but turn key dash lights flicker lights go out hood light out. disconnect battery to reset, plug in, do again, same result. hoping its something simple like relay in a junction box, just not auto mechanical savy but might trip on something, any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like an issue I had when I first bought mine. My terminals were crusty. On the passenger side positive cable check it over real well. Where mine split to go to the drivers side battery the metal was split. I cleaned everything then cut and installed an eyelet to connect the cable to the terminal securely. I haven't had a problem since. This was much less expensive and more solid than the stock setup. You may also check the rest of the connections like where the cable connects to the starter, front right lower of the engine where the ground connects and trace the ground back on the drivers side battery as well i don't remember where that one goes.

I agree sounds like battery terminals are in need of cleaning. The other thing to
check is the cables them selves.

Do you have a volt meter?

I will post some Youtube videos on how to test the cables.
It's called a Voltage Drop Test.

On my overnight test drive I stopped at a store to get something. When I was back out at the truck
I had a Click/No Start. Popped the hood and what did I see but a fuzzy mess on the passenger side
battery + post. Well The store was a hardware store so I went back in and came out with a brash
brush and some cheep metric sockets. Took it apart and cleaned it and reassembled. Tried to start
and BINGO!

One dead give away was I had bright lights and a strong click.

Part of my deal before I would sign was that they would replace the + cable that was hacked
up and check the batteries and replace if bad.
