That's a tough color to describe huh?
I'm about to begin an ordeal where I transplant a gauge with tach from another Ford model line into an E-Series without tach even available. In my case its an '03 E250.
Some clusters were a bluish color as in the '98 F150 cluster I had thought to use for this. That'll be the prototype now!

not sure if it still applies or not, but at one time the dash panel was directly tied to the ECU.
that is to say using one required using the other. perhaps with today's aftermarket tuners that is not such a problem, i do not know.
something to be aware of anyway.
good luck and let us know!

I've already run afoul of the cluster and how swapping different versions drastically affects the entire vehicle's operation. My process will hopefully result in fully functional as-stock cluster that doesn't interfere or affect things like the VSS and its interface with the ECM.
It won't be easy but simply HAS to be doable with some effort----or so I'm convinced anyway!
