Well, Good Morning-Dad and I tested the FICM this morning and it read 36 Amps...it all makes sense now. Anyway, I'd like to talk to the man or men at FICMRepair.com, do you have a preferred time, or is whenever good? Thanks. -Taylor
Hi Taylor - I spoke with your Dad this morning. It sounds like we are going to be all set. He ordered a 185 amp DC Power alternator and confirmed that the FICM is in the mail. Thanks for the business!
Got mine, installed it today. Wow, what a difference. Started right up, gets out of the gate nicely (seat of the pants wise) and shows 48.5 to 49 volts consistently. Thanks, Ed.

LOL--it is almost a rush isn't it? The small adjustment in the FICM flash makes the throttle response insane with the tune I'm running.
This repair will make a truck that seemed like it was running great, purrrr like a very large, capable, cat. Sounds like you had the same issue as me, seemed to run great, but 36 volts is too low. Upgraded to the 185 alternator, and got the Econo tune.
You are going to be VERY happy, FICMrepair is very fast. Your dad sounds just like mine, but let him know that he has done the right thing.
ditto, got mine installed last weekend with the atlas 40 tune and ripped my old edge attitude with juice out at the same time. the ficm holds 48 volts now at all rpm's and feels like it did when i was at level 3 or 4 with the edge (and i feel a bit better now too because i don't have studs....). now pondering if i should get my ecm rolled back and tuned as well maybe next summer when the motorcycle is back on the road.
