Hah, funny guy. What was funny about it was going up hill or down hill, head wind or tail wind, pulling a trailer or not, the mileage never changed. Sometimes I would carry an extra 5 gallons of gas just to be safe. I sure don't miss buying the gas for it, only the memories of what took place in the back of it.

Well, this is where the 460 can shine. I was talking to a guy that owns a paving company one day, and he said that they were running 460 F-350s and got 11 MPG empty and 9.5 towing 10,500lbs. Not too bad of a drop for a pretty good load. The trucks were running 4.10s if I remember correctly. All of the roads they ran were 55 MPH or less too, so that helped. The MPG becomes much closer to newer vehicles when towing a heavy load.

Lol, yeah I may be slow but... I figured that out right after I read the OP, I remember the 'if its rocking, don't bother knocking' thing.....and another one was something like 'don't laugh your daughter me be inside' thing too. seriously though, 4.8mpg had to be a real downer owning that thing.
