I too had a supercab before. Current truck is a crewcab and I'd never go back. You just can't beat four real doors.
I was very on the fence about the tailgate step but got it and I'm so glad I did. I got tormented for it by my wife and buddies, but that was only until they tried it. As others have said, the pole is fairly annoying, but it can be removed and replaced with the standard tailgate liner, or I think I'd just LineX the inside of the gate.
For those concerned about losing your "stall" with the CC, all you have to do is open the front and rear door on one side and your good to go.
And I'll be another to say definetly get the upfitters!
