Have a 51 M-1 that I just purchased to build. Truck has a 78 camaro front clip with a 350/350 setup that I have removed. I am looking to install a 347 stroker and ford AOD but am wondering if there is a motor mount available that will allow me to install it on the Chevy clip?
I doubt there will be a bolt in part but there are plenty of "kits" with pieces to help you fabricate the needed mounts without having to make everything yourself. You will need a welder to make them, you are out of the realm of snap together stuff. Check speedway for different motor mount kits. <p>something like this may help. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Ford-W...unts,1376.html
I thought I would likely need to fabricate something myself, but was hoping that something aftermarket might be available. Maybe I am the only one to ever swap a ford engine into a Chevy for a change. Ha ha.
No problem, if you can fabricate them yourself you can make mounts for next to nothing, if not I think the speedway stuff is a good alternative. Even if you could find something "bolt in" I think having the mounts land in the right place wouldnt be likely with a clip install.
Good luck with the build, a stroker should make that truck fly!
