I'm new here and this is my first time on the site.I just bought a 2000 Super Duty last week When I looked at it and test drove it, the doors unlocked with the fob. Then I bought it and the doors would not unlock with the fob. A day later, they would not unlock with the door controller. I can hear them clicking and see them move slightly. Can anyone tell me where to start checking? Thanks
Welcome to FTE, There is a lot of good knowledge here.
Sorry, I can not help with door lucks at the moment as I have not yet messed with mine, but will be interested to see where this goes knowing I will have to attack mine soon. There are a lot of good threads on here for the door locks and will try and find one and post it here from an older post. I'm sure someone will chime in soon.

Sounds like the door overheat protection, the thermistor has gone bad.
This unit protects the circuit from too much heat such as when kids hold the door lock button down.
There are several good links for repairing this, one really long one.
Some guys use a piece of foil or a coin to replace this thermistor.
Door panel needs to come off but read the associated links with search.
Good luck.
haha, I thought I didn't post correctly, and didn't even notice it was the same thread. I'm not the fastest either the only difference is it's my head.
