Cargo/bed light

Cargo/bed light
Hey all. On my '93 F150 I replaced the bulb in the cargo/bed light and can't get it to come on. It is the ONLY exterior light I have to get working. Is it the headlight **** that turns it on? Is it supposed to come on when you open the door like in my F-350?
This truck has so many little things on it that don't work 100% so I am plugging away on them one at a time.

The cargo light should come on when one of the doors are opened-at the same time that the interior light comes on. And the cargo light should come on when the headlight switch is turned fully to the left.
If you also have no interior light-then check the fuse for both the cargo and interior light-should be the same fuse.
