Radiator support questions

Are the radiator supports the same for 2WD and 4x4s? How about between the 73-77 round head light trucks and those 78 and 79s with rectangular head lights? I found a 78 F350 in a wrecking yard with what looks to be a virtually brand new rad support, but I am concerned that retaining my 74 F350s round head lights may be a problem. The wrecking yard looked it up on the computer, and said that the 73 thru 77 F series had a different rad support than a 78 & 79, but they don`t know what the differances may be. I don`t mind if its just a matter of drilling a few new holes, but I don`t want to get involved with a bunch of fabricating. Both the parts truck and mine are 2 WD dual rear wheel F350s, the 78 has a 400, my truck has a 390 (origionally a 360.) No A/C on either. Thanks.

I used a 78 core support on my 77. Had to drill new holes to mount my round head lights & such but it worked out fine.

They did change, when/how I couldn't tell you...

I've "retrofitted" front flange to reverse flange, you just need to be creative.

X2.

Radiator mounting might be different (6cyl, (small V8, big V8, etc.), so as Montana said you might need to be a bit creative.

And assemble the grill first with the head light buckets attached. That way you know where to drill holes to mount them
