ok guys so far i did the 6637 mod and got the 3"dp and 5" exhaust, with my super chip set at hp.I know i need a better tune but my question is what next?Bigger injectors then the tune?????thanks in advance guys
Bet your happy with the difference all the little stuff has made! Its amazing what intake and exhaust alone can do. Your next step depends on what your ultimate goals are. IS your truck your DD? Tow pig? Mix of both? Thinking of doing any sort of competing wit it? (truck pulls, etc)?
I'm more or less at the same place and I'm thinking of one of those CXracing intercooler kits. But I got some body work and other silly stuff I want to do before jumping back into the engine.

CX racing kit? Haven't heard of it. Have a link? From everything i have seen and read, your better off saving yourself the money and build your own from a 6.0 or 7.3 kit.
You can get them a little cheaper on ebay, I know of CXracing from Japanese cars. Pretty decent quality. For me, honestly... No exhaust shop is going to take on the job and most of the diesel shops will want to charge me $700... For $900, it's a decent kit, 2/3rds the price of the banks kit. Hell all the shops on this side of Atlanta wanted $300+ to install my gauges... I can do that myself in a day taking my time and drinking beer!
my truck is a tow pig but i sometimes get in her and take the trash off..iam looking for big tow power,i need it to tow a 2 car trailer through the mtn's of tn,ga,nc,you get the idea..no competing
You have many options there. If i were you i would start with beefing up your drivetrain to handle the new power. Auto or manual? If auto, it will be your biggest expense of all so i'd start saving for that. If manual, you can choose where you start. Valve springs and push rods, as well as head studs, are a good place to start. Efuel, bigger HPOP and injectors, and turbo upgrades are all to be had as well, although those should come after you make sure your motor can safely handle the bigger power in my opinion.

I think this depends on the power you're shooting for, but Rob makes a valid point. If you're just going to chip it with stock injectors then you're all good. But even with stage 1's and an aftermarket turbo your boost will be in the danger range for the stock headbolts.
Also, it's very rare that someone here mods their truck and says "that's enough power." Probably best to be fully prepared
But step 1 for me would definitely be beefing up that trans. In stock form the e40d isn't bad. You start throwing power at it though and it's not happy.
Thanks for expanding on that Rick. To really get into the nitty gritty as far as "whats next", you should really do some reading on what power levels you want to shoot for and then we can help you spend the money!
When I put my t-500 hpop in, after chip intake and exhaust, it made a huge difference. Did the same in my buddies 99 SD. it will also help feed bigger injectors if you go that route.
I used a 7.3 intercooler and with all the boots clamps and custom pipes it was about $500
