I'm fairly new to excursions. I've had mine 4-5months. My ex is from min. And was under coated immediately by the first owner. The coating wasn't kept up and was flaking off. I've been scraping it off the frame for a couple days. I plan to paint with chassis saver. Has anyone used a small sandblasted to prep a semi daily driver for chassis paint?
I knocked some rust off the hard brake line near the rear axle. It started leaking very slowly. Any suggestions on a source for this line?

Thanks for the help
Congrats on the new ride.
They sell them at auto parts stores, but you have to bend them with a tubing bender. Best thing to do is remove it, and take it with you to get the right size. Get some brake fluid, as you'll have to bleed the lines after installation.
Best lines to get and never worry about rust again is the new ni/copper lines.

I have been using ONLY this stuff on everything now.
On the chassis saver, it likes to have a skim coat of rust to bond to. If you clean down to bare clean metal the chassis saver may peal off again in the future.
I used a hammer (get loose stuff off) and then a chisel and hammer and scraper to get in corners and get the frame cleaned up but leaving the surface rust. I then brushed from the top down. After sticking the box back on I lifted the truck and then sprayed from the bottom.
