I live in Minnesota, where we have our share of road salt in the winter, and of course the result of that is a lot of undercarriage rust, which generally doesn't irritate me too much, except on brake lines on account of the safety factor.
I gave up on undercoatings years ago, but it recently dawned on me that I could spray my brake lines in areas closest to the road with paint to slow down the deterioration process by some modest amount.
So I slid up under my 2005 '350 armed with can of a rust-stopping paint only to discover every last bit of brake line was already painted with a black hard-finish enamel - not a spec of rust on any of the lines!
