transmission troubles

po603 po733 po782 p1714 od light comes on once in a while when it does happen seems like it doesn't shift into 3rd gear do I need a trans rebuild?

P1714 means one of your shift solenoids is bad. This code only can be set by a bad solenoid, it's not the wiring, the computer, or anything else. Replace both shift solenoids before rebuilding the trans. The trans is probably fine.
