Hopefully this is the right spot but, i have a 93 F150, i recently got a road trucker brand Duel CB antenna kit.. i was planing on mounting it where most other folks do duel, front inside of the truck bed.. However i did some research, kinda wish i would have look this up sooner but alot of folks say that two antennas will make your range sketchy, not a full 360, i understand the concept of Semis and there Antennas are ment for front and back range of the rig.. however for a truck such as mine, a single antenna would be better and a wider range.. ive been debating on taking the kit back and getting a single 4 foot fire stick..
So to be honest, would that be a wiser b etter route? i know some folks do the duel CB antennas with one just hooked up and the other just for looks.. but i dont really want to do that.. ill admit it looks cool but.. i rather have something i know ill use and benefit from rather then having eye candy
To be honest my gut is telling me to go down the single antenna route but the place is 40 something miles away, lol only place i know of that has CB stuff.. so if anyone can lay down some tips.. Ill only do the duel antenna mount if i know for sure its beneficial.. other wise if common since dictates that a single antenna in the truck bed can do the job just fine if not better then thats the route im going.
If your antennas are less than 8 feet apart your gonna get interference and they will cancel each other out. I'd go with the single antenna. With a good radio and good antenna you can out do dual antennas. Unless your using a power amp.
