I forgot to add that the motor will be rebuilt to withstand 600 hp when its turboed and the turbo is going in front of motor where the fan is. I also thought about getting another turbo (smaller) to add so the exhaust goes to small one to spool faster at takeoff and itll eventualy help the big one spool.
Since you guys say tune are not worth the i guess ill scratch that off my list but towing wise would shorty headers help the engine breath better?

I wouldn't bother with headers for a na combo if you are going to turbo the truck.

I've done it all to my 2004 F350 with 5.4. first gears are the best and only real improvement for this motor, if your running stock to 33" tires go with 4.30 gears, if you have 35" tires go with 4.88 gears. My 4.30 swap cost me 2100 dollars from a 4x4 shop that does gear swaps everyday.
-Intake leave the stock one on it flows up to 400hp we'll over what a 5.4 can make
-headers are so so, I did Gibson stainless headers just so I wouldn't have issues with the stock junk bolts rusting in half and leaking/warping the cast iron manifolds. And I tow heavy with my headers and they have never given me an issue never
- mike from five star is a good guy but tuners on the 5.4 2 valve is pointless, I've ran my tuck stock/superchip/SCT and it's no faster doesn't get any better mpg either way, also tows the same stock or tuned ( but I have 4.30 gears)
-second best mod is the TransGo HD/E4OD shift kit with .427 line mod and steel shift valve, my 4R100 has never shifted better firmer and is just amazing now
