Bed to frame ground

In the process of putting my bed back on the frame. Where does the ground go from the bed to the frame. I don't remember taking one off in the first place, maybe previous owner unhooked it. I guess where did it originally go? In fact, do I really need one since the bed mounts directly to the frame with no rubber in between. Thanks!

I think thats the theory Ford used. It grounds through contact between the bed and frame.
However, you can never have too many grounds. When I get around to remounting my bed I'm going to run additional grounds from the bed to the frame. I may have to drill a mounting point on the bed, thats what I did on the radiator support, but its worth it. A large percentage of the mystery electrical problems these trucks have can be traced to bad grounds.
Just a note, I custom made a new ground cable since the picture was taken, it looks a lot neater now.

The bed grounds by bolting directly to the frame as you suspect; there's no separate ground strap.
