Since I don't know how to contact you, I'll post this way. A member filed a negative reputation report against me because I have more $ than him.

Really? And that stays on my FTI record? against my reputation? What can that possibly have to do with my reputation? I tried to help the guy.

I think a removal of that complaint is more than warranted.

Please remove this after reading and responding to me. Thx. k

And after 24 hours I get no reply, no note, no how-to, nothing.

I'm a bit surprised. I posted this thread with a legitimate concern about reputation criteria. For me and for the sake of other members, I think it wise to clarify this matter by letting us know what a member needs to place a negative comment that affects another member's reputation.

If members are allowed to randomly post negative comments about another member in their CP section, as one did to me because he thought I had more money than him, then you run the risk of it becoming a collection of random, possibly hostile, comments.

If there are no rules, maybe I'll start posting negative things about members who live in states I haven't visited, or those with red trucks, or for some other nonsensical reason. Some clarification is needed.

Is anyone home? (Hello, AB )

Heya K,
Sorry, I've been away from the computer and didn't see this earlier.
I completely agree, reputations should only be based on what is said in the forums (inappropriate or offensive comments), or especially bad business interactions that take place between members. Not on anything else.
Where's the complaint? I'm not seeing how to find it though. (Still looking).

And hey, I have a red truck!

Thanks for getting back 2 me. I think the negative vote is in my user CP. It's about two years old, but it just occurred to me that my having or not having money should not be a reputation factor. I'm sorry. I know you can't help having a red truck

The neg rep system went away last year, because people abused it

You can only get positive reps now, so no worries
If a post is offensive, hit the right button , and report the post

I have 2 red trucks, lol

Obviously the poster doesn't know that writers may eat steak one week and be looking for cat food on sale the next...

From what I can tell, I can't even look at your reputation. Just my own. But yeah, if you report it, who knows, maybe it'll send me a pm that I can link to it?
Or is it just a visitor message someone left on your profile? If so, what's the date on it?

It's down in his reps at the bottom of user cp. I have a few, they never go away, but the only one who sees them is the owner of the page they are written on

Like I said before, the neg rep system was removed last year. No worries. Maybe if he wants, he can have a super mod go in and remove it. Myself, I don't pay any attention to them, they mean nothing anymore.

Yea having someone leave a negative rep did suck. I had one person leave me one. It was annoying and childish but I just ignored it.
