It's not a DC, but it was an A/M 200 amp.

Truck didn't run but for a few seconds. I hope it's OK too. Seems to be a bearing.

My old OEM did something similar I never saw smoke but alt was grounded out and when I turned the Key on it would Drain Batterys Very Very Fast

It's about 4 years old. The bearings went out. It should be ready now.

Bearings, stator, and voltage regulator (just because I was open).

Mark, the FICM is fine. 47.5 to 48V on battery warming up and 48.5 on alternator after glow plugs kick off.

I didn't because the stator has to be soldered in IIRC, and I'm not good with a soldering iron. I have a shop here locally that's really good and really fast.

Ya know, Benny, I thought I heard it chirping when I first started the motor back up but it hasn't shown a bit of probem and it wasn't loose. That last run to Little Rock must have killed it cause it's been pretty much sitting ever since. Maybe that little "cold" snap we had locked it up and finished it off.

That set of connections takes a BIG iron. The Soldering gun is the way to go.
If and when you ever have to deal with that set of connections.
It's good that you saw it before the bearings locked and really made a mess.
