Been a while since ive been on here. I'm now on my second 2006 F-250, long story, but i got rid of the first one cause i thought i wanted a sports car. Well, two years later, im back in a powerstroke. My first one was straight piped stock exaust with pipe put in place of the cat and muffler. Man it sounded great, very loud turbo whistle. This one sounds similar just not as loud of a whistle. I can do without the louder whistle, my question is, should i reset the computer after straight piping? i always heard leaving the battery unhooked for a while would reset. just a question, maybe stoopid but i was curious. thanks guys
03's and 04's stock turbos have more whine than later models. The impellers on 05 and later turbo's are different than the 03-04's. Resetting the computer isn't necessary, the ECM has no idea whats going on past the turbo on the exhaust side.
