79 c6 transmission leak

I just got this 79 a few weeks ago. Got the carb replaced and was checking other things. Well it has a massive leak coming from transmission/transfer case adapter. I know very little about these but I do know its not a good place to leak 2 quarts in an hour. I've research and found tailshaft seal is probably the culprit but what I find is for 2wd. Anyone got advice on this?

Try Rockauto or Bronco Graveyard. 2 quarts in an hour is a pretty serious leak. Check either the trans output seal or transfer case input seal. When you get apart, make sure nothing is cracked or broken. Check the trans/transfer case housing adapter.
