Weird smell

So just about every trip that's over 20 minutes I'll get a smell, seems like it's coming thru the vents and it smells like burning wires or like you turned on your heat in your house for the first time of the year....

Is this normal??

Apparently this is the regen cycle?

Is this going to continue to happen? When on a date and this happens it's not the coolest thing ever.... Lol....

The smell is annoying and can get strong.

Go out for a long drive so that the cycle can complete.
You need to get a diesel HOT and short trips don't do it.

If the smell is hanging around in the A/C vents get some of this

That's silly you have to go spend fuel to make the smell go away :/. Ahh the things you learn along the way!

Automatic, How long have you had your truck? I remember when I first purchased mine, the smell was crazy strong, but as I drove the truck more(3500 miles now) The smell has gone down so much that I can only smell it when outside the truck.

All new vehicles stink after you drive them, your burning paint off parts and other **** from the factory is getting burnt off....

Like I said get out and drive it not in town but on the highway.

My truck still has a faint "new truck smell" even after almost 4,000 miles. I can only smell it faintly outside now, granted I have a gasser but I have some sort of smell.
