just got my 87 bronco this week mainly to pull our camper.
does anyone know what wires i need to hook up it had a connector,
but its gone now?
do i need to run seperate wires for the trailer brakes?
also do i need to run seperate wires for the trailer battery?
does ford make it so you can just plug something in and your all set?
If your truck originally came with the towing package, it should have a relay for the trailer marker lights on the L inner fender and 3 wires coming thru the firewall running to the R of the gas pedal with a small tag indicating how to wire the brake controller.
If it didn't, any trailer shop can sell you a controller & add the wiring.
Just last week I just had a seven pin connector added in conjuction with the pre-existing flat four-pin style. Cost me 75 bucks at an auto electric place. Two of the local camper places wanted over $100 each.
