You can get dead soft 1/8" OD copper tubing in a spool.

Look for a refrigeration or HVAC supply house

Given that Ms. Hefty's truck is a 1981, how likely is it that we're facing a feedback carb? I have to agree, we're going to need pictures.

Ford wasnt very smart laying those plastic lines down near the hot engine.
