I have a 1999 expedition, I'm in the middle of trying to get it started so I can drive it to ford to have them fix my OBD2 port so I can program my new keys, I have a new ignition and new keys that fit, but my obd2 port isn't working so I can't program them. When I try to turn my key over it won't even turn over (duh), so I ran a switch to both wires on the starter, and when I press the switch on it tries to start, it feels like it SHOULD start, but it just keeps turning over. Any ideas why it won't start? I put it in neutral, turned the key over and all the dash lights and stuff come on, just not sure whats happening. It turns over and feels like it wants to start. Before I lost my other keys it started just fine.
Pretty sure you'll never find someone who is willing to post how to hotwire one of our trucks. Remember, anyone can see these posts - to post how to hotwire a truck is like giving people a "how to steal my rig" manual.
Get a buddy with a trailer or rent a U-Haul dolly, tow that rig to the dealer and have them do their thing.
........hum...Asking how to hot wire is not a real good idea....changed title.
I know, no one here will answer how to either
I think the better idea would be to lock/delete the thread entirely. All it takes is one person to not thnk and post it...once a web crawler hits it, you'll never get it purged. Better safe than sorry.
Ya I finally got my OBD2 port working and had Ford wire my keys. I could care less about 'hotwiring' or any other BS, as it is my own car, and I can do with it as I please. Thanks for the help anyway. Have a great day.
After re-reading my last message, it seemed like I was being an ***, and I wasn't, I swear. I was being sincere, I appreciate every ones help immensely.
