Hey guys, haven't been on for a while, work gets in the way too much. Here's an update to my clutch mystery.
I dropped the tranny to find a broken spring on the disc! So I bought a complete kit, had the fly wheel ground and just got it back together today, whalla...it works like brand new:-)
Now I have a slow cranking issue that I never had before I took it apart to fix the clutch. It was always hard to start from cold but once it was running any other starts where normal. Now even after it's been running it cranks slow.My batteries test good and I cleaned all the connections while I had it apart.
Thanks for all the help

You mentioned the HPOP started puking oil at one point. Could be bad clutch disc. Oil contamination can cause clutch issues.

At first I thought that as well, the timing that it all happened in. When I took it apart all the oil stayed on the back side of the fly wheel the disc was dry.
