I have a 2000 F350 Crew Dually. My question is about brake calipers. Since new the calipers only last a short while( a year or two). I've been getting my replacements at NAPA. Are there any after market calipers that are a better product?
I'll add that it's the pistons that seem to freeze clamped to the rotor and not the slide pins. Every time I change calipers I replace the soft hoses.
My dad has had 3 bad reman calipers from Napa over the last few years. They replace as little as possible when the remanufactur the calipers.
SSBC makes a replacement upgraded set of calipers for the front however I am not 100% sure if they fit the dually. If the dually front calipers are the same as the SRW then they will work. They have a higher piston count and larger pads to get increased clamping power. The downside is the price, about $8-$1k.
