Loaded Caliper vs Caliper?

I'm kind of confused here, but I would like to know the difference between, a Loaded Brake Caliper, and just a Brake Caliper, is there a difference, & what is it?

Ahh okay, well I guess I just need the calipers then, because I already have the brake pads.

From some parts sellers I've noticed a considerable advantage to buying loaded calipers but lately I've found Ford now sells re-man'd calipers for a bit less than half the new cost. At $56 each for my '00 E250 and another $70 for the OEM pads I'm out the door with a known good brand of OEM spec'd parts without a worry. (Of course the core charge of $70 per caliper does encourage quick return if only to get that $140 back ASAP!)

If replacing the calipers clean or replace and relube the caliper slide bolts too-----highly recommended.

That's a bit steep for my wallet, I'm working with a limited budget here, & for now the low end parts are fine, as long as my truck passes state inspection, I can always go buy the good stuff after it passes, and if I have more money to work with.

As for right now, I just need to get the low end calipers at Auto Zone, they're going for 10$ a pop, & the rotors are going for 31$ a pop, the brake hardware kit for 6$ a pop, but as for loaded calipers or not, now I know what I need thanks for your help guys.
