Im installing a 5.9 cummins into my 99 f-250. Im in the process anyway. I got my 5.4 gasser pulled out and cummins sitting in there. I dropped my fuel tank to modify for a bigger dip tube. When I was in process of modifying I brake my fuel gauge reseistor that screws to side of sending unit. My dad works at a garage and brought a reseistor outta a windstar and got it on the sending unit but he moved float arm at any level fuel gauge reads full. Even with sending unit unhooked reads full. Is that cause the engine harness aint hooked up?? Is it the reseistor outta windstar?? I still cant find someone who has put new sending unit in and has the parts I need. I found I can buy new on ebay ps-82 but there expensive. ????????????????????????

If the fuel gauge rads full even with the sender unplugged, then the resistor isn't an issue right now.
