I am more familiar with the bow tied trucks but I couldn't pass up a 1988 F150 4.9l 5 speed for $500. It's in good shape for it's age but in need of some TLC. Not sure how it happened but the previous owner somehow got the left tank of the radiator cocked at an angle to the rest of it, which caused it to leak at most of the spots where the tubes are soldered to the tank. The young man told me about the radiator up front but he neglected to mention the truck had been run hot. What I hoped would be a simple head gasket change has turned into a complete head swap. Hopefully the weather will start cooperating so I can finish that project and move on to the exhaust which looks like swiss cheese from the front cat all the way back.
