Hey, my name is Brian and I'm new to Ford trucks. My father in law has an old 1983 F250 farm truck he wants to use on his farm again. It's been sitting for years so it will be fun getting it running again. I'm not very familiar to with Ford trucks and I joined to learn more about what model years interchange.
So far I have my work cut out for me. I got it to start with a new battery but it was rough and the fuel filler neck didn't have a gas cap...for five years.
I pulled the tank to check it out and this is what I found.
Hi Brian...Welcome to FTE Seems you have yourself a little project on the go there, and looks like you will be on the hunt for parts here and there... that will just add to your adventure.
No gas cap, well that would explain a lot, but at least you got it to start, I am sure with
a little work and a little know how you will get the old girl back up to snuff. There are a lot of knowledgeable folks here that would be more than willing to answer some questions or try and help solve a problem if you run into one.
Upload some pics of the truck to your garage and pleas stop in and join the Kentucky chapter and meet some of your fellow Ford fanatics from your state! Enjoy FTE and good luck on your project!
