Any body ever swapped late model Bronco door panels onto the 80-86 models?

I put '92-96 panels in my truck, but it took a lot of effort. The panels physically fit the door fine, but they overlap the vent windows, so I had to change to the '92-96 ones (with the flat front). The whole object (for me) was to have the better window switches, so I also had to change out the door wiring harness, which included power mirror wiring. ...so, of course, I had to add the '92-96 power mirrors. There's slight interference at the dash pad, but not enough to keep it from being WELL worth the effort.

I think '87-91 panels are easier to put in, but I don't know.
