The past couple days when I've left for school in the morning, I have found that the rear brakes lock up under normal braking conditions. Simple things like stopping from 10-0 on a slight hill at the end of my driveway, the passenger rear tire locks and goes into a skid. 2 or 3 stops later after I get out of my neighborhood, things start going as normal.
I'm wondering if maybe the cool morning temperatures are affecting something in the brakes, because as soon as they warm up the issue goes away. My biggest thing is I don't know what could be causing it.
Well you guys were spot on. I checked the outside of the drums before leaving school, and sure enough there was brake fluid leaking out. Leaking so bad on the drivers side that the wheel is all covered in brake fluid.
I picked up new pads, cylinders, spring kit, seals, locknuts, locknut socket, new axle flange gaskets, and copious amounts of brakleen. I'll probably start tearing into it tomorrow.
