Off Topic "OT" threads........... :(
I know it (hell, see the link in my sig), you know it, we all know it. So I DO understand why we love to share the stuff in our lives with each other. It's because we are a Brotherhood.
That being said, the mods of this forum have always had a very relaxed standard for allowing OT threads, going way back before I became a mod.
What happens in other forums doesn't always happen in this forum. A lot of the guys here don't visit other forums here at FTE. Their friends are here, there's a comfort level here...this is their home. So when something happens, they wanna share it with their brothers. We completely understand. But I do need to ask you guys to please be mindful of all the OT threads that seem to be cropping up.
John, you trust this Brotherhood...I know. So when you have a problem with that gasser Jetta of yours, who are you gonna look to for help? The people you trust, naturally! I'd do the same thing if I owned the vehicle.

Tug, congrats on your new vehicle purchase! Don't get that little bug of a car stuck in the front grille of your truck!
Jason, good luck on your knee surgery bro. Flying colors are wished on a quick recovery for you!
Phil, your OT thread really isn't OT. It was truck related and custom tuner related. Yes, it was amusing, but it wasn't OT at all.

But guys, because this is the 7.3L PSD forum, I gotta ask everyone to please be mindful of the position you put us mods in whenever posting an OT thread. I'm not saying "stop", but if you find a thread has been moved to the General Automotive Discussion forum, or GNAC, please understand why.
While we are soft on OT threads here in this forum, please remember this isn't Twitter, where everything goes.

Thanks for understanding, and thanks for your cooperation.
Your 7.3L PSD Mod Team.

You don't need to defend brother, I meant it when I said I'd do the same thing.
Apologies are NOT needed at all my friend.
Much like a certain blue pill can help certain men with a specific problem, we noticed the OT threads were growing, and we just wanted to make sure they didn't mushroom out of control.

Stewart
Im surely as guilty of it and while i know its a wee bit more acceptable in our particular forum... its still wrong(ish) and thanks for the reminder.

Ofcourse I am just kidding and respect what Stewart has brought up here and have even noticed it myself and wondered when the mods were going to say something about it... Not because the amount of OT threads bothers me but just because I have been a mod many moons ago on a capri forum
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
That's how it normally happens when we start one of these.
Haha! Awesome!

in my defense I did label the thread WAY OT
