Tomorrow I get to drive the IH to Topeka to pick up our new bed, I am getting excited. I love to drive the old truck on the interstate. I just wish it had some tunes.
So some people are claiming that New Mexico and Arizona are actually part of Mexico and the current people that live there are invaders-- Making it so that the people who crossed the border are not in fact illegals but in fact the rightful owners.
driving the work van through a construction zone here in Madhattan, on my way home, all of a sudden, BOOM, Screech, Boom.. I looked in my rear view and saw a street sign laying in the street where I had just been. I pulled over to the car wash, and a beautiful lady following behind me pulled up to ask me if I knew what happened. She said the wind blew the street sign over into the side of my van, so I went to check it out.. yep. sure enough big old deep dent and scratch in the side of the van. The sign belonged to the construction crew, so I stopped to let them know what happened, and that I was going to need to get their information. They were friendly enough, so I was friendly back. They gave me some phone numbers to call on Monday, so we will start there.
Went to a car show yesterday in honor of Veteran's day. Started at a big parking lot, then cruised down town to the food bank, then over to the Veteran's Hospital for the car show. Was a great time, and Clint even won a free pin stripe certificate valued at $150.00 from one of the local pin stripers. I have some pics from the show and food bank. An absolute ton of cars for being this late in the year. Couldn't have asked for better weather in November. Everything from a real 1967 GT500 (my dream car) to an Ariel Atom. There was even a Pacer at the VA.
