What other awesome things does this woman make you do?!?
The only thing I can tell you that's suitable for polite company... talked me in to buying 2008 SD wheels & tires 18" with only 1200 miles on them. Got a screamin' deal from a friend of mine. Just need some spacers next. Sounds like a Christmas present to me...
What kind of power are you making with that Civic? I've always wondered why people put money into making small FWD 4 bangers into drag cars... I'm just curious...
Should be approaching 900hp when I get it tuned in a few weeks. Made 500 on my old set up. I guess its just preference. Pisses off a lot of V8 rwd guys when you smoke em lol. I'll be doing an awd conversion sometime next year.
It has been a good many years since I've been down the 1/4 mile. I've always been meaning to run my supercharged civic down the track just to see what it gets.
This was my B20vtec crx I ran years ago. This was back when tuning hardware and software were sparse and very expensive!
Because its the only SUV with a solid front axle and a 7.3L diesel. The Suburban, with IFS and gas only, just cant compete with that.

Edumacate me, what's the big deal about the solid front axle?
Nice civic! Is that a B18? It has been a good many years since I've been down the 1/4 mile. I've always been meaning to run my supercharged civic down the track just to see what it gets. When I bought my 99 F250 7.3, they were just starting to hype the Ex, fast forward to 02, we were moving up here with the snow and "weather" and she didn't want stuff in the back of the truck, so naturally the Ex was ordered. When it came in, we sat in it and watched a movie in the driveway! Best $50k movie player ever!!! Now, 162k miles later, numerous sets of tires/oil changes/ball joints/batteries she wants to buy another for when Wilbur gets to old! She never took a vehicle over 60-70k miles before she met me.
And also, because we wanted it! Never looked back, never regretted it and have talked probably 8-10 friends into buying one!
I drove two 2500 Dodge Rams 4wd, 1998 Extended Cab, than a 2003 Quadcab.
The quadcab was a huge improvement to the EC, but I always wanted more room inside the cab. As they build the Megacab I couldnt afford this truck.
So I thought it over with my wife. We both dont like Chevys and their quality. Though they are the only manufacturer of big SUVs. But going back to IFS once you drove straight axles isnt possible, so the only answer was : Ford Excursion
The only engine I loved at Dodge was the Hemi but actually dreamed always of the v10 so, my dream come almost true.
Driving a SUV with straight axles and a big displacement v10. Even its not as big as I wanted it but to be honest its big and strong enough to fits our needs.
The Ex is the best whole in one package.
