I'm fairly sure my radiator is gummed up and causing the truck to run hot. The local shop quoted me about $130 to rod and clean it. I also saw several new radiators on Ebay around this price, including this one:http://www.ebay.com/itm/SPECTRA-PREMIUM-CU433-Radiator-/390636738199?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5af3c39697&vxp=mtr
Here is the current radiator:
I don't know the size. Any suggestions? Links?
Also, can I remove the condenser?
I've removed the rest of the AC already.
Fix the super cooler one ,better than aftermarkets. I have one of those from my 460 but it needs a new core. I'm still going to keep it just in case i might need it and get it fixed.
I swapped out the front of my 76 with the grill and core support from a 79 and now my 76 radiator doesn't sit in the core support correctly. I had to make it work but honestly, I don't really trust it. It's sturdy enough but if i ever take this thing off road, I want to have more confidence in the radiator.
What's a good price to pay for a used 79 radiator? Does it matter if the clip had A/C? I might have a guy who'd be willing to trade my 76 radiator for a 79. Also know a guy who's got a radiator from a 74. So many choices,
Why wouldn't Ford just keep the radiator designs the same?
