Stinky - the continuing saga

I have a slow buildup of oil in my coolant (I'll get pictures soon), I suspect I'm getting small air bubbles in my oil, I have one injector that's the runt of the litter, and my fuel strainer was a temporary measure last winter.

None of these are show-stopping, they are just things that make Stinky less than 100%. October will be my final push to get this done, so I can just enjoy the end result of all the trials, tribulation, and Tourette's syndrome I've endured to get there.
  • I have a 9th injector set to my specs, just sitting on the work bench.
  • I'm ordering the Racor fuel strainer
  • Clay has my order for an oil cooler
  • The only thing I haven't replaced is the LPOP, so a Melling is coming in from Clay as well.
  • I'm going back to green coolant with the additive until I'm sure I'm done with all the contamination. I'll revisit the ELC in a couple of years... maybe. bfife has an interesting alternative I need to look into.
The wrenching will take place after my home improvements are done, but the bevy of Buck$Zooka blasts has begun.

By now you should have some velcro valve cover gaskets Tugly. Now I have another thread to follow.... sigh.

Rich, you decided to just get a new oil cooler? Would it be worth pulling the old apart to check the work, or just better at this age to replace?

I agree with you on the green coolant. I'm going to stick with that period - along with a coolant filter now in place.

Rich, I think if you do decide to go with the Evans Waterless you will be very pleased. I've been running it in my rigs since 2001. Never issue. there are a whole lot of positives, some of which are no cavitation, no electrolysis, no corrosion and no blown hoses.
here is a link for you.

That's the bugger... I finally get those sticks to stick, now I'm going to yank one out.

I had a conversation with my expert and sometimes these things just leak after they've been messed with. Clay has them on the shelf for some reason, I can only guess I'm not alone with this leak thing. After all I've been through (and you have with coolant/cups), how much would you have paid to do it once and be done? In this case, the oil cooler is $225, but I am unsure if that includes the O-rings. I'm still trying to figure how to contain the mess. I can use my floor mats... they work for milkshake.
