I am about to sign on a 6.7 in the morning but tonight I was just told that the truck does not have a block heater. I thought all Ford diesels had the heater element, just may not have the cord. Is that true of the 6.7s? Or did they make them without the element too?? I know the truck may not need the block heater, but was told that they would put on the cord, then told the truck doesn't have one. I am a little ticked at this point as I have always had one and use it when we travel in the mountains. Anybody have any info?
Thanks,
Monty
Select states (not GA) have the block heater pre-installed.
For southern dealers, if it isn't ordered you don't have it.
This began with the 2011 model 6.7L in 2010.
Here is the filler plug:
Ford site says their standard in cold weather states AK,CO,IA,ID,ME,MN,MT,ND,NH,NY,SD,VT,WI,WY.
I had to special order it when i order my 2011 for Arizona.
if one is fitted there will be a AC plug near the tow hook area.
