Ok guys so out of nowhere I am driving doing about 45 and stopping at a light when I accelerate and take off, I get to about 40mph and the trans doesnt shift it just sits at 1900rpm and the boost rises to about 9psi. The truck feels as if it is trailering a load. you let off the gas and it slows down much faster then it normally does. I take off at the next light and it doesnt do it. then the next light i take off from it does the same thing again. What is going on? truck has 29,500 miles. I dont think the trans fluid has been changed so could this be it? would like to get this figured out asap as im towing a friends car to to a local drag strip for a event.
30K is the mileage for a transmission service so you're right at it. You really need to get the truck code scanned. Make sure the scanner will read transmission codes as that's a separate module.
One thing that you might do is AFTER you get the truck scanned, disconnect the battery cables, turn the headlights on to discharge the KAM (keep alive memory capacitors) and reconnect the battery cables. If you clear the KAM before you scan the truck you'll lose any codes that might be stored.
